Location changes for October Allentown council meetings

Allentown City Council meetings will be held outside of council chambers until November while  renovations to the space are completed.
Wednesday’s meeting will be held at the Mountainville Memorial Youth Association Facilities at 1814 S. Fifth St. at 7 p.m. A committee meeting prior will begin at 6:45 p.m.
Council’s Oct. 16 meeting will be held at West End Youth Center at 7 p.m. Committee meetings not on council nights will be held in the fifth floor conference room at city hall.
Council chambers will be gutted during the renovations. A new dais, sound system and chairs for the audience will be installed.
