America On Wheels on WDIY      Tune into 88.1 WDIY on Thursday, August 15, 6-7 pm with Sally Handlon on Lehigh Valley Discourse.  Joining her is Mike Hefele, Director of Planning & Zoning, City of Allentown, Linda Merkel, Executive Director at AOW, and Sheryl Hawk, Director of Development and Marketing at AOW.      Discussion on the plans for Allentown's Riverfront and the amazing things happening at America On Wheels, the pioneer business anchoring the Riverfront.      If you miss the broadcast it will be archived and available on line after August 17 on www.wdiy.org, simply go to Programs, Lehigh Valley Discourse and click on it.   1st Annual Car Cruise & CARnival along Allentown's Riverfront      on Sept. 14, 9:30 am - 4 pm Cruise from Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus to America On Wheels Museum.  Cruise begins promptly at 9:30 am, all vehicles, cars, trucks & motorcycles are invited to participate. CARnival activities at AOW will take place from 10:30 am to 4 pm.  Outside event free. Activities include inflatables, bicycle presentation by Bob Swaim, face painting, balloon art, Glitter Bug demonstration provided by Lehigh Valley Health Network, (inside AOW), children's educational activities and games, tasty food, music by Peripheral Vision, The Olympus Corporate Bank and more! AOW admission discounted to $5.00 adults and seniors - $4.00 students (13-15) children FREE to age 12.  Includes tour, museum scavenger hunt, Ice Cream Sundae Bar (nominal fee) and The Comedy Magic of Joseph Keppel. All proceeds benefit Pediatric Cancer. New Pedal Cars Arrive at AOW The heat of summer is still upon us, so come in from out of the heat and enjoy  three new additions to our Pedal Car Exhibit.  A 1934 Pierce Arrow (Green) and 1935 Auburn Roadster (photo above) located in the South Gallery.  In addition an adorable 1948 Indian Trike in our Main Lobby. .
