[Lehighvalleygastruth] Burning RADIOACTIVE Fracking waste in Allentown?!?!?!?‏

Greetings Gas Truthers,

Lehigh Valley Gas Truth is not dead, but it's kind of semi-hibernating
while i have gone through some major transitions over the past months. Sam
Bernhardt, a Food and Water Watch employee (i LOVE and support this
organization with my time and money!!!!) has been organizing alongside me
in Bethlehem for a year (or more) now, so i am grateful to him for
carrying on while i have been temporarily too overburdened to organize to
the best of my ability. THANKS, Sam!!! Please contact him at
sbernhardt@fwwatch.org to find out what he is organizing for the Global
Frackdown worldwide day of action on 19 October 2013:

MEANWHILE: I have been engaged by the division of Energy Justice Network
to coordinate all volunteer efforts to win the right to vote on a clean
air ordinance in Allentown--

For those new to the issue, construction of the experimental
Delta-Thermo incinerator has been planned for an Allentown neighborhood
on the Lehigh River in an area where many of our school children are
already suffering from respiratory issues. Clean air for miles
surrounding Allentown is at risk. And with the shenanigans the Shale
Gas industry has been getting away with disposing of their RADIOACTIVE
waste inadequately treated into our Pennsylvania waterways (
http://blogs.smithsonianmag.com/science/2013/10/radioactive-wastewater-from-fracking-is-found-in-a-pennsylvania-stream/
)...it wouldn't surprise ME at all if we ended up finding out that some
fracking sludge were potentially slated to be BURNED at a facility such
as this! PROTECT YOUR COMMUNITY, help us organize from now until the
election!

The Lehigh County Board of Elections refused to put our Clean Air
Ordinance on the ballot. Citizens are suing the Board of Election to put
the ordinance on the November ballot.

[Subject: Requesting public hearing on DEP Permit no. 39-00099A]
Dear Ray Kempa,

I am writing to you regarding DEP Permit no. 39-00099A, which
concerns the air emissions from Delta Thermo Energy's (DTE's)
proposed trash and sewage sludge incinerator in Allentown, PA.

This proposal has sparked considerable local controversy about air
quality impacts. I want to bring my concerns about this proposed
facility to the DEP, at a public hearing in Allentown, accessible via
an evening bus route. Thank-you!
